The Magpies is a famous troop of musicians, bards, poets, entertainers and storytellers. They [[travel]] through [[Britain]] and even the continent, playing for those that pay well. They are often trend-setters and if you wish to hire a troop of skilled entertainers playing the latest tunes, telling the most riveting stories of love, heroics and war these are the people you should look for. They play for almost anyone as long as they are known to be hospitable, generous and jovial. This includes [[Saxons]] and foreigners. The group has many members, and it varies from years to year. But they still have a core group of people most well known for their [[skills]]. They always get a nickname from an animal when they become a part of the group ==== Members ==== * [[Mistress Sparrow]] (Annelie) * [[Master Weasel]] (Iorric) * [[Brother Fox]] (Kinniac) * [[Sister Hawk]] (Miriam) * [[Brother Bear]] (Antonius) * [[Sir Badger]] (Name unknown) * 5-10 others ==== Members ==== The Magpies also have a tendency to appoint famous musicians, poets and storytellers as "honorary members", from time to time they drink to those they claim to be their equal or even their betters. Here are some honorary members. The very best of them they call "Maester", only two people have ever been 'granted the honor' of this title. The master of all druids, the storyteller that weaves the story itself, [[Merlin]]. And more recently the young [[Taliesin]], who the troop traveled across the lands only to hear him sing. Young [[Taliesin]] was also granted the strange title of "Many-kind", since the group could not agree what animal he was to be represented by. * Master Owl ([[Merlin]]) * Master Many-kind ([[Taliesin]]) * Sister Dove ([[Airla]]) * Sister Kingfisher (Adwen)
