In ancient times the first monument was said to be built with magical timber by giants of the land to honor the sun, the stars and the ancestors. One of the most famous people buried there is Salis himself.
Sometime during the [[Roman Period]] a powerful magician erected stones and the place became known as a site for druids and wise men and women.
In 470, [[Merlin]] stole several large stones from the giants in Ireland and had them transported to Stonehenge.
