Ambrius hundred was granted by King Aurelius Ambrosius to Abbot Dilwyn to establish Ambrius Abbey. It is not subordinate to the count of Salisbury. The hundred is very rich with farmland and rivers and supports a large unit of mercenary knights that guard the Abbey from raiders and robber-knights.
The hundred court takes place at Ambrius. Key landmarks are the ancient site of the Giants Dance (Stonehenge) and Ambrius Abbey.
