Description
Ælle is one of the greatest saxon warlords in Britain, having time and time again defeated foes both British and Saxon. He is a prideful man always looking to expand his power and territories.
Ælle defeated the Regnenses civitas in 477 with only three ships, while Aurelius was busy elsewhere. After Ælle captured much of the channel coast, Aurelius had to acknowledge him as King of Suth Saexe, despite his Motanic massacre of civilians at Anderida.
History
477: Saxons led by Ælle and his sons land at Cymensora and seize the Regnenses lands. Regnenses exiles crowd the Belgae and Atrebates, or vanish into the Andredesweald.
