[[Category:Hillfort]]

Ansty, or Longbarrows as it is sometimes called, is a manor in Hillfort held by the same family for generations. It was first granted to Gildas after his bravery in the Battle of Carion. Gildas died in the Battle of Lincoln and his manor was inherited by Newlin.

Newlin was a spoiled and big man and grew up to be the opposite of his brave father. Together with so many others, Newlin died in the Night of the Long Knives. After the death of Newlin his eldest daughter Glesi inherited the manor and it was stewarded by her crestfallen husband for many years. He eventually died in the Battle of St Albans.

They had a son, Ren, who inherited the manor in 501.
