The Sisters of the Wolf

The Sisters of the Wolf is a coven of Saxon witches originally from Juteland.

The coven has existed for many generations and themselves claim kinship with the Saxon lineage of Fenris, as well as claiming they are serving Fenris himself and his children. They are revered by Jutes and feared by all. They are notorious for their blood-sacrifices to the gods and their ruthless rituals. Only the bravest warriors ever dear facing them.

They are are always naked or painted in blood or elaborate rune-patterns and ride large wolves or direwolves. They are almost never seen near battle or war, but if they are all saxons know that that day the gods of old are with them on the battlefield. Some even claim they have the ability to stare a man to death just with their eyes.

They never bear their own children, and some speculate that they are sterile. They get all their new numbers from raids or given young girls from their Saxon patrons.

They have no actual political power, but from time to time they are asked for advice since they have such good connection with the gods. But most avoid it if they can, because the advice one gets almost always comes at price.
