Dovesfield hundred was granted to Salisbury as part of the original Honour of Sarum Upon the Rock. This hundred spans the rolling plains to the north of Bran’s Hill hundred. At the head of the Till river lies the market town of Streamfield, also known as Tilshead. Most of the manors in this hundred lie along the Till river.
