Thorngate hundred, also known as Broughton hundred, is the eastern-most hundred of Salisbury and an important defensive position. It stretches from the southern parts of Anna's water to the northern parts of Chiefsfield. On it's own the hundred has borders to three other counties, Silchester, West Seaxe (Hantonne) and Dorsette.
Hundred court is held at Buckholt Hill.
