Timeline

505: He is knighted in Sarum after Cerdic's siege is lifted. He participates in fighting of traitor knights from West Saexe. One of them slights Sir Amig and his entire house. Yraen manages to defeat the leader of the knights in single combat and takes him prisoner. He then gifts his prisoner to Lord Amig and recieves the enormous charger Fury as a reward.

506: Being a pagan, he is allowed to travel to Stonehenge to hear Taliesin sing and speak. He mostly hears him sing and decides that he want's to learn how to play and sing but is to modest to ask the boy himself. Maybe he will ask the boy when he himself has become more skilled? He also becomes entagled with Lady Marigold and is certain that she is flirting with him. It turns out that she has a cousin in Yraen's age that she want's him to marry.

507: He is invited along with Lord Amig to a hunt held in Badger forest. On this occasion he shows himself to be a good hunter and brings down a small boar on his own.

508: Rides of with the rest of the knights of Salisbury to fight against the saxons in the battle of Netley Marsh. He is ordered by Lord Amig to guard Amig's son (and his own cousin) Sir Llyr. When the cymric lines start to crumble, Yraen rides fearlessly together with his cousin and actually takes several arrows in defence of Sir Llyr. They become separated from the main force of Salisbury and have to skirmish back into Salisbury proper. Yraen falls rather ill from woundfever upon coming home and it takes most of the winter for him to recover.

509: At Count Robert's knighting, Yraen demostrates that he has an unusual talent for singing and playing despite being mostly unschooled. Thanks to this performance he is invited over to Senechal Aeron's holdings at Du Plain and spends quite some time there. He makes a very good impression (and always remember Aeron's name) and is thus asked to take on Aeron's bastard son as a squire and is also asked by Aeron personally to accompany him to London to participate in the grand tourney. Lady Marigold has asked Yraen to challenge a certain Sir Lorac to a duel and she has promissed him a large reward if he wins. He is starting to suspect that it might be Marigold's cousin's hand in marriage and he has no idea how that happened.
