Information
Suth Seaxe is a Saxon kingdom in the south-east of Britain. Its ruler is King Ælle. A largely rural kingdom protected by the Forest Perdue, it has no real cities anymore.
Geography
- Pevensey: One of the last holdouts of Britons in Sussex, the city was taken in 491 in a bloody manner. A castle built in the corner of a Roman fort wall stands there today, where King Ælle holds his court.
- Forest Perdue: Knows as the “Forest of the Lost,” this large and undoubtedly magical southern forest separates the Saxon kingdoms from the Duchy of Salisbury.
Rulers
- 477-present: King Ælle
History
477: Saxons led by Aelle and his sons land at Cymensora and seize the Regnenses lands, They name it Suth Seaxe.
485: Battle of Mearcred Creek was fought between the Saxons led by King Ælle and Britons led by King Uther Pendragon. The battle ended in a stalemate with neither side claiming victory.
